Free is not a 4-letter word

free is not new, but free in mobile, is in its infancy.

Unlike other industries that have been built around free-conomics, the mobile industry is just tip-toeing into the world of free now.

Many of us PC-internet veterans have proven how we can build leading,  free-standing businesses including notable references like Google, Facebook...

These successes are built on a new, higher-level consumer interactions: choosing to jettison price haggling and moving to ramp up higher-value consumer interaction based on other currencies. The new currency is attention, information, recommendations or opinions.

Now, in mobile internet, we at fring (www.fring.com) are doing this again.

fring gives users free phone calls, video calls and live chat in exchange for... nothing.  Rather than nickel and diming users, we are rewarded with hours of valuable attention (the average fringster uses fring for 8 hours/day) and  endless recommendations.  This trade is fair and fruitful.

We all see the power of  'free' for users and usage. Only innovative mobile companies are capturing the enormous value in free.  So mobile insiders, how is free catalyzing your business?

Let FREEdom (f)ring.
